Young named Sullivan Award Finalist

Former University of Texas and Madison High School
quarterback Vince Young has been named as a finalist for
the 76th Annual Sullivan Award.

The award, which is given to the nation's top
amateur athlete, is selected by the Amateur Athletic
Union, U.S. Olympic Committee members, college sports
information directors and others.

The Rosebowl MVP is one of 10 finalist for this
year's award. Other finalist include: Seimone
Augustus(LSU) and J.J. Redick(Duke) for college
basketball; Steven Lopez-Taekwondo; Chelisie
Memmel-Gymnastics; Bode Miller-Snow Skiing;
Laura wilkinson-Diving; Kerron Clement-Track/Hurdles;
and Young, Matt Leinart(USC) and Reggie Bush(USC)
for college football.

The Sullivan Award winner will be announced on April 12th.
